Rollgliss® Self-Rescue Descent Device

An economical, compact and portable self-rescue system designed for a maximum descent of 50’. Step into the yellow leg loops and pull them up just under your buttocks. Place the orange chest/shoulder strap over your head, down across your shoulder and across your chest. Connect the snap hook on the descent device to a suitable anchorage with a minimum load of 1500 lbs. Drop the 1” nylon descent webbing down to the landing area.

  • The Descent Control Handle is the key to the system. Begin descent with the handle in the up “Stop” position. Slowly pulling the handle down will begin the descent. Descent speed increases as the handle is pulled farther down, and slowed as the handle is pulled back up.
  • System can be attached to a harness with a front D-Ring.
  • System can also be used by two workers in an assisted descent situation.
  • Made with nonconductive, noncorrosive materials.
  • Specifications:
    • Capacity: 310 lbs.
    • Maximum Descent Distance: 50’.
    • Anchorage Strength: Minimum of 1500 lbs.
    • Descent Line: 55’ of 1” nylon webbing.
    • Body Support: 1-3/4” polyester webbing.
    • Descent Control Handle: Stainless steel.
  • Warning: This equipment is a single-use Self-Rescue Device. The device must be destroyed after one descent.
